Last night was a bittersweet moment for all of us at GREEN-i as we gathered to bid farewell to our beloved brother. We chose the cozy ambiance of Genji Japanese restaurant for this special occasion, where the air was filled not just with the aroma of delicious sushi, sashimi, and teriyaki, but also with laughter and heartfelt emotions.

The evening was full of warmth and exciment. As we enjoyed the exquisite Japanese cuisine, we couldn’t help but crack jokes about “fried kuih”—a playful nod to an inside joke that will always remind us of the fun times shared. Amid the laughter, a little mix-up by the waiter led to an unexpected treat: free ice cream for everyone, thanks to Naim’s forgotten order! This sweet surprise only added to the charm of our gathering.

As the night drew to a close, Hans delivered a moving farewell speech that touched all our hearts. He highlighted the immeasurable contributions he has made to GREEN-i, leaving a legacy of leadership, passion, and dedication. In a touching tribute, we presented Hans with a framed image of himself, which he signed. This signed memento will hang on our wall of memories, a constant reminder of his impact and the indelible mark he has left on each of us.

As we said our goodbyes, we reflected on the journey we’ve shared together and the lessons we’ve learned. It was an evening that ignites the spirit of GREEN-i. Full of joy, laughters, and the bonds that make us more than just colleagues.
